We have a great time listening to Kate Klise for her author presentation today! Kate Klise wrote Dying to Meet You, a book that was a bluebonnet nominee book from last year. She explained how she comes up with her ideas for her books. She said that she uses events in her life to create her stories because if all her ideas were made up then it would sound crazy like a dream. She drew a circle on the white board and explained the writing process that the characters have an "Oh no!!!" moment in their story that is the problem and then it is solved by a lesson or "Ah ha" moment. We were very luck to have her visit us! Ask your child what they learned!
