Today, Katy and I went back to the hospital where she was born to do a 2 week check up and blood test.  She weighs 7 pounds and 2 ounces and is still growing!  I hated that she had to have blood work done, but she hardly even cried!  The hospital nurse had the idea to put sugar water on Katy's pacifier to suck on that while her foot got pricked for the blood.  Katy doesn't usually like a pacifier, but that sugar water must have been tasty!  I just love taking pictures of her and here are pictures from today.

We are at the hospital.  Notice the white package around her foot.  The nurse put a warming pad on her foot to get the blood flowing so the blood test would be easy to do.  Katy was too busy sucking on her pacifier to care what was happening.

Ouch! Katy's foot is now all bandaged up.

We are heading home from the hospital.  I don't think she'll remember the appointment.

Katy loves making faces.  These were ones of the many faces she gave me today.  I wonder what she is thinking.

She is a huge nap taker.

Again, please tell me how you are doing and what you are learning at school!! I miss you all!

Katy has arrived!

Hello to my wonderful class!  I wish I had more time to get to know you before Katy arrived, but I'm thankful that I was there for the first week of school.  I already know that we have the best class in third grade!

I will be posting pictures of her this fall while I am away and I will also be posting questions about how third grade is going.  Please comment on my posts so I know how you are doing!! I wanted you to get to see pictures of Katy and introduce her to you.  She was born on Saturday, September 1st at 8:37 PM.  She was 6 lb. 10.4 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long.  She is a healthy baby and loves to be held!  I hope to send her to the school sometime so you can meet her in person.

This is Katy with my husband, Matt, just after she was born.

She loves to sleep!

We are still at the hospital in this picture and she is just starting to open her eyes.  Her eyes are a dark blue color.  Both my husband and I have green eyes so we wonder if they will turn green or stay a blueish color.

We are about to go home from the hospital!

We are in the car going home for the first time!

My cat, Angel, is getting a look at Katy.  Angel doesn't seem to mind that Katy is now a part of the family.

This was our first pediatrician appointment.  She is doing well!

This is my husband's favorite picture of Katy.  She looks so happy as she stretches her arm out.

I call Katy "My little monkey" because of this shirt.  She also loves this pillow that she is sleeping on.

We had family pictures taken of us and I put her in this outfit made for her by a friend of mine.  She already looks like she is growing to fast for me!
Katy is a blessing to our family.  She can't wait to meet my wonderful third grade class!!
