High Touch High Tech "Cosmic Capers"

We had a great time today with Scientist Stan who came today to present the program called "Cosmic Capers."  We had fun watching a rocket launch and calculating how high the rocket went up in the air.  We measured our jumps and multiplied our jump x 28 to calculate how far we would jump on the moon.  The class also had the chance to experience gyroscopic force by spinning around while holding a wheel that is twirling in their hand.  The class even made "alien snot" made from liquid plastic or P.V.O.H. (polyvinyl alcohol).  At the end of our time, the class did an experiment about how the air is clear and the clouds are white, but the sky is blue.  We did a lot today in science!! Ask your child what their favorite part was and what they learned!
